Functional Capacity Evaluation
Assess physical functioning for lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling,
and extremity use.
Use of the computerized Ergos Work Simulator for objective
measurements.
Accomplished over a 4 to 6 hour period.
Work Tolerance Screening
Includes provision of an initial Functional Capacity Evaluation to
determine baseline physical tolerances.
Structured job-specific activities to determine vocational
feasibility.
Conducted in 2 or 3 day modules.
Graduated Work Hardening
In each program module, aerobic exercises decrease as work
simulation increases.
Includes body mechanics and exercise instruction, as well as
structured work simulations.
